About this role
Responsible for the design, development, alteration, or modification of shelter drawings and Electrical systems as assigned by the department manager.
- Prepares a wide variety of detailed drawings for the shelter and electrical design and is responsible for their accuracy.
- Breaks down information obtained from the bid letter, customer specification, and customer supplied drawings to do shelter design.
- Makes a variety of calculations (AC service, HVAC, energy, and structural, etc.) following standard procedures.
- Prepare work orders (detailed BOM) while drawings are in progress.
- Contributes on projects of high complexity.
- Completes projects without supervision.
- Assists other designers as needed.
- Renders technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff or customers as needed.
- Possible travel as needed.
- Performs other assigned duties as required by management.
Qualifications
- Four (4) year Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
- 4 to 7 years on the job Electrical Engineering/Designing experience.
- AutoCAD or Revit
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer programs: Windows, Word, Excel, the latest release of AutoCAD, the latest release of Revit.
- Knowledge of algebra and geometry and mathematical formulas.
- Technical ability in the Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical fields.
