Accounting Systems Analyst (Contract)

Job Title: Accounting Systems Analyst Key Responsibilities Research and resolve accounting and operational data discrepancies Analyze information across multiple systems and identify root causes of issues Support accounting teams with transaction validation and reconciliation activities Learn system workflows and document business processes Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives Maintain data accuracy and support ongoing integration efforts related to the Parkland acquisition Develop reports and perform data analysis using Excel and other reporting tools Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and IT resources to identify gaps and recommend improvements Preferred Background 1-5 years of analytical experience Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Accounting Analyst, Operations Analyst, or similar Strong Excel skills Comfortable learning new systems quickly Curious, detail-oriented, and process-focused Experience researching issues and solving problems independently Work Environment This role supports several operational accounting teams within an organization that recently completed a significant acquisition, creating a dynamic and evolving work environment. Multiple permanent team members are dedicating substantial time to integration and acquisition-related initiatives over the next 12 months, and you will provide critical support to ensure business continuity. You will work with complex distribution and supply chain operations, including pipelines, terminals, trucks, rail, and marine transportation, and you will interact regularly with operations, logistics, and accounting teams. The environment emphasizes strong accounting, analytical, and transactional finance capabilities, with frequent use of SAP, Right Angle (where applicable), and Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and analysis. You can expect to handle high volumes of transactional data across multiple systems, participate in month-end close activities, and contribute to ongoing process improvements. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
