Senior Accountant - Interim

Full-Cycle Accounting

- Manage and support full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and investigate account discrepancies.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, fixed assets, and balance sheet activity as needed.
- Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and management reporting.
- Support audit requests, schedules, and other accounting projects.

Process Improvement

- Review existing accounting workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
- Standardize and document accounting processes, procedures, and reconciliations.
- Identify manual or redundant processes and recommend opportunities for automation.
- Help improve month-end close timelines and reporting processes.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, and operational teams to implement process improvements.

Data Analysis & Reporting

- Analyze large financial and operational data sets to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and improve recurring and ad hoc financial reports.
- Perform account and transactional analysis to support business decisions.
- Improve the accuracy and usability of accounting data across systems.
- Utilize Excel , including pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation, and financial analysis, to streamline reporting and reconciliations.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including hands-on full-cycle accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing accounting process improvements .
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large amounts of financial data.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
