Job Title: Lead Construction Procurement Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Construction Procurement Manager with a Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, along with 10 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills, be highly articulate, and have a clear, analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Proficiency in Primavera or Microsoft Projects is essential, along with a strong understanding of construction contract administration, including liens and AIA contracts.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement contracts and purchase orders effectively.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
- Oversee contract amendments, claims, and the dispute resolution process.
- Lead RFP development, change management, and close-out administration.
- Negotiate change orders and claims in procuring construction services.
- Serve as a team leader on larger capital projects, acting as the main contact for the client.
- Collaborate with resources within the client and project supplier organizations.
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience and strong problem-solving skills in project and program management.
- Proficiency in Primavera or Microsoft Projects.
- In-depth understanding of contracts, procurement, project forecasting, and budget management.
- Experience in change order management and risk management within the Pharma/Biotech industries.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Analytical approach to process flow issues.
- Experience with large capital projects (>$B).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Quantity Surveyor experience is preferred.
- Experience working on projects valued at least $500 million.
- Background in pharmaceutical construction and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of RFP, ITB, RFQ, bid evaluation, and procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with EPCM, contract compliance, change management, and CAPEX.
- Degree in Construction or Engineering is required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $135.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
