Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and open incoming mail
- Sort incoming mail by specified criteria
- Distribute incoming mail by utilizing central department mailbox system
- Receive and process outgoing mail utilizing mail equipment
- Maintain mailing equipment
- Maintain inventory of mailing products
- Meet deadlines established by senior staff on the processing of incoming and outgoing mail
- Provide specific returned mail to designated departments for further research
- Occasional overtime may be required
- Occasional work on the weekend may be required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–2 years of experience working in a mail department, mail processing center, distribution environment, or other fast-paced operational setting.
- Experience with mail distribution, USPS, courier services, shipping/receiving, or package handling is a plus.
