Outbound Coordinator

Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.

We have an immediate opportunity for an Outbound Coordinator at our United States Headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA.

The Outbound Coordinator supports daily warehouse and distribution operations by coordinating outbound order activity and ensuring picking lists and related transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This role works closely with warehouse personnel, Customer Service, and other departments to prioritize shipments, resolve order or inventory issues, support cycle counting, and help maintain an efficient flow of outbound materials.

This is a full-time, onsite position working Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Targeted Compensation: The targeted compensation range for this position is $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions

- Generate outbound advice and picking lists for sales, distribution, service, and manual transfers while prioritizing allocations.

- Review, manage, and sort orders and picking lists for distribution to warehouse personnel based on shipment type.

- Coordinate with Customer Service to identify and resolve orders requiring corrections or clarification.

- Generate and process cycle counts, research inventory discrepancies, and initiate recounts as needed.

- Investigate errors and operational issues to help identify root causes and resolve problems.

- Maintain accurate departmental paperwork and required documentation.

- Provide training and floor coverage and support service or remote facility warehousing as needed.

- Provide backup support for Production Control Clerk responsibilities as needed.

- Support 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement activities to improve workflow and reduce waste.

- Maintain effective communication and coordinate problem-solving between departments.

Required Experience

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- At least 2 years of related warehouse, distribution, inventory, or outbound/shipping experience required.

- Experience supporting inventory control, order processing, shipping, or outbound warehouse operations.

- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to prioritize multiple orders and tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.

- Ability to work independently while following established processes and procedures.

Computer Skills:

- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office required.

- Experience working with computer-based inventory or warehouse management systems required.

Job Requirements

- Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check

Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis

- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%) for training purposes

- Valid Drivers’ License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards

- Employment with Busch Vacuum Solutions requires current work authorization in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Physical Requirements

- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday.

- Occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing, and manual handling of materials.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.

- Must be able to hear and respond to alarms and notifications.

- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, safety footwear, hearing protection, and other required equipment.

Work Environment

This position works in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels, exposure to dust, and regular interaction with warehouse and distribution operations. Occasional ladder use may be required.
