About this role
Purpose of the Position
The Project PCO contributes to the mission of the I&T PMO by acting as a trusted partner and advisor to Project Managers and the PMO. He/she ensures the reliability, consistency, and analysis of project management data in order to provide clear and objective visibility into performance, variances, and risks. Through a control and advisory role, the Project PCO supports decision-making, compliance with commitments, and adherence to PMO standards, without being responsible for project delivery.
What I Am Responsible For
Act as a project steering partner:
Support the Project Manager in planning, updating, and analyzing project plans (schedule, costs, risks) in order to inform decision-making without assuming responsibility for project delivery.
Ensure control and consistency of project data:
Validate the quality, consistency, and reliability of project information (progress, budgets, forecasts) before consolidation and reporting to the Investment & Workforce team.
Play an advisory and escalation role:
Analyze variances, key indicators, and early warning signs. Identify risks, deviations, and potential issues, proactively raise concerns, and recommend scenarios or corrective actions to the Project Manager and other stakeholders (Delivery Manager, Portfolio Manager, etc.).
Serve as a link between projects and the PMO:
Ensure compliance with PMO standards, tools, and methodologies; contribute to reporting and governance; and facilitate smooth communication between project teams and the PMO.
What It Takes to Succeed in the Role (Skills/Abilities)
Performance analysis and control:
Ability to analyze project data and identify variances and early warning signs.
Project control expertise:
Strong understanding of the end-to-end project management process and project monitoring indicators (health indicators / RAG).
Advisory and influencing skills:
Ability to challenge and advise Project Managers without direct authority.
Communication and synthesis:
Ability to transform complex data into clear and actionable messages.
PMO discipline and governance:
Adherence to PMO standards, processes, and traceability, supported by strong document management practices.

Additional Information
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience considered equivalent in project management.
Years of Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management. Experience in the manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
Required Technical Competencies:
Project management methods (proficiency in traditional, Agile, and hybrid project management methodologies), mastery of the end-to-end project management process (feasibility, planning, closure, etc.), tools and systems (proficiency in Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, etc.), risk, issue and change management, and data quality and governance.
Must be able to communicate and produce work at an advanced level in both English and French.
Remote work may be available in accordance with company policies.

Raison d’être du poste
Le ou la PCO projet contribue à la mission du I&T PMO en agissant comme partenaire de confiance et conseiller auprès des gestionnaires de projet et du PMO. Il/elle assure la fiabilité, la cohérence et l’analyse des données de pilotage de projet afin d’offrir une visibilité claire et objective sur la performance, les écarts et les risques. Par son rôle de contrôle et de conseil, le PCO projet soutient la prise de décision, le respect des engagements et l’application des standards PMO, sans être responsable de la livraison des projets.
Ce dont je suis responsable
Agir comme partenaire de pilotage: Accompagner le project manager dans la planification, la mise à jour et l’analyse des plans (échéancier, coûts, risques), afin d’éclairer les décisions sans se substituer à la responsabilité de livraison.
Assurer le contrôle et la cohérence des données projet: Valider la qualité, la cohérence et la fiabilité des informations projets (avancement, budgets, prévisions) avant leur consolidation et remontée à l’équipe d’Investment & workforce.
Jouer un rôle d’alerte et de conseil: Analyser les écarts, indicateurs clés et signaux faibles, Identifier les risques, écarts et dérives potentielles, alerter proactivement et recommander des scénarios ou actions correctives au project manager et autres parties prenantes (delivery manager, portfolio manager, etc.)
Faire le lien entre projets et PMO: Assurer la conformité aux standards, outils et méthodologies PMO, contribuer au reporting et à la gouvernance, et faciliter la communication fluide entre les équipes projets et le PMO.

Information supplémentaires
Formation: Détenir une formation universitaire pertinente ou une formation jumelée à une expérience jugée équivalente en gestion de projet.
Années d’expérience: Un minimum de 8 ans d’expérience en gestion de projet. Avoir travaillé dans le domaine manufacturier est un atout.
Compétences techniques requises: Méthodes de gestion de projets (maîtrise des méthodologies de gestion de projets traditionnelle, agile et hybride), maîtrise du processus de gestion de projet de bout en bout (faisabilité, planification, clôture, etc.), outils et systèmes (maîtrise de Jira, Smartsheet, Power Bi, etc.), gestion des risques, enjeux et changements, qualité et gouvernance des données.
