General Description

The Production Manager reports to the Assembly / Manufacturing Director and is responsible for coordinating the activities of production personnel / teams to meet product quality requirements and the production schedule while adhering to the BRPMS Philosophy. Ensures compliance with existing policies and procedures and initiates and manages improvement activities.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

- Completed Professional Degree (Preferred)
- 5 years of experience leading a production area
- Experience in the automotive industry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

- Ability to motivate and delegate authority to subordinate personnel.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability, as well as computer skills.
- Must be familiar with lean manufacturing concepts, including MRP, JIT system, ISO, SPC, and SAP.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the QMS and customer focus; leads all assembly operations within the plant and coordinates the work of production departments through familiarity with all assembly processes; maintains ongoing knowledge of customer shipping requirements, work schedules, and quality levels; and ensures adequate staffing to meet these schedules.
- Promote continuous improvement. Responsible for the identification, implementation, and verification of continuous improvement opportunities.
- Conduct plant inspections to ensure safe work practices through visual observations, memorandums, personal guidance, and, when necessary, corrective actions.
- Responsible for the implementation and compliance of BRPMS standards.
- Establish, implement, maintain, and improve the QMS. Responsible for the overall quality of assembled products.
- Provide all resources necessary to maintain and support the QMS. Motivates and directs the training of all production personnel by monitoring training effectiveness and defining roles and responsibilities for all levels within the production assembly organization.
- Acts as a liaison with managers and staff and effectively communicates relevant information to those who need to know.
- Demonstrates a leadership style that is consistent with the company's values and management philosophy.
- Jointly establishes individual objectives through analysis and understanding of everyone's job functions.
- Understands and leads HSE practices applicable to job functions within the production assembly organization.
- Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) requirements established for their role in relation to ISO 9001:2015.
- Comply with the safety rules established according to their role.
- Complete planned training related to Quality and Training on time.
- Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
