We are seeking an experienced engineering contributor for a team of talented technology architects and supported sales teams focused on the deployment and support of full stack Siemens hardware and software technologies in complex machine building applications, including CNC lathes, mills, presses, robotics, 3D Printing, and novel multi-axis systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional teaming skills, a passion for innovation in the industrial and manufacturing fields as well as empathy for the customer.

We are looking for Consulting Engineer This position will be remote based serving the continental US.

- Technology Deployment and Support
- Ensure the successful implementation and integration of Sinumerik and Siemens PLC technology in customer operations.
- Develop and deliver hands-on training programs and workshops to educate customers on the effective use of Sinumerik technology.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and support to adjacent engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their specific use cases and offer tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Sinumerik and adjacent Siemens technology and its components, including motors, drives, numeric controllers, power management devices, and software for CAD, CAM, PLM, and MES.
- Enablement Functions
- Work in mixed compute environments to work on multiple VMs for technology demonstrators
- Provide expertise in API integration for RESTFUL APIs and MQTT messaging integrating onto 802.11 defined network objects
- Create and curate a comprehensive library of knowledge base articles to empower customers and reduce the need for direct support.
- Provide use case and training data input to AI development teams to assist in relevant AI enabled technology roll outs
- Leverage internal support products (e.g., XCare, Machine Care) to streamline support efforts, enabling the team to focus more on customer enablement and less on reactive support.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Contribute to, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of engineers, ensuring you and they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles as leading edge implementation in robotics and industrial automation.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
- Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and support for career development.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to enhance project delivery and technical excellence.
- Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive the adoption of Sinumerik and related technology across various industries.
- Collaborate with product management and sales teams to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
- Analyze industry trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in an ABET Certified Engineering program in Computer Science or EE / ECE Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years in engineering environments, with a strong focus on motion control technologies, complex system design, and mixed control engineering, IT/OT integrations and SCADA systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Siemens DI portfolio including Sinumerik technology and its applications in CNC machining and automation. Previous history around HMI development, system integration, software integration (IT/OT) preferred.
- Familiarity with software development tools in .NET, ASP, Jquery, Rabbit MQ, mySQL, Odata 7, etc.
- Demonstrated history of gathering / creating / and maintaining customer requirements
- Ability to manage risks and issues in a rapid fashion for internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders (Internal and External) at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with AI-driven support tools and automation technologies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customer training and project deployment (>25%).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

- Masters Degree in ABET accredited Engineering Discipline
- Preferred experience of 10+ years
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders (Internal and External) at all levels.
- Preferred experience with enterprise network architectures as it relates to industrial settings. DCS, SCADA, VLANs, VMs, IT/OT APIs.

The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $156,794 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
