Research Coordinator-Senior

Under limited supervision, responsible for planning, directing, and supervising complex administrative and fiscal functions of a unit directly engaged in research. May lead or mentor lower level team members.

SUPERVISION

The Research Coordinator-Senior is supervised by the Pediatrics Research Center Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators.

- Demonstrated knowledge in grant administration, research coordination, data collection, and/or facilitating the patient experience in research projects.
- Working knowledge with electronic health record systems and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Ability to coordinate the diverse components of the project by quality project planning, execution and change control to achieve required balance of time, cost and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to generate high quality, technical writing and written/oral presentations.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases.
- Detail oriented with meticulous planning, organizational and negotiating skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Phlebotomy skills preferred
- Knowledge in providing participant compensation and invoicing a study sponsor
- Knowledge in grant administration, research coordination, data collection, and/or facilitating the patient experience in research projects.
- Knowledge with electronic health record systems and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Ability to coordinate the diverse components of the project by quality project planning, execution and change control to achieve required balance of time, cost and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to generate high quality, technical writing and written/oral presentations.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases.
- Familiarity with utilizing research portals, such as RedCap.
- Detail oriented with meticulous planning, organizational and negotiating skills .

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Works in a well lit, temperature controlled environment. May encounter exposure to body fluids and exposure to infectious disease.

OTHER:

Must successfully complete the pre-employment/post job offer health screening and the annual screening each year thereafter as an associate

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.

License/Certification

- CPR certification is required
