About this role

Location, Travel and Work Hours (Please Read):

- The position is based at data centers in LaPorte, IN. New hires will complete an initial 3-5 month training period that involves traveling to customer sites throughout the United States before transitioning to their long-term assignment in Indiana.
- During the training period, candidates must be open to travel anywhere in the United States. All travel-related expenses, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and meals, are covered by the company, so no out-of-pocket expenses are required.
- Upon completion of training, the individual will be based full-time at the Indiana data center locations. At that point, overnight travel will no longer be required, and the role becomes a local, onsite position supporting the data center project.
- During training, the standard schedule is 5 days per week. Once the data centers become fully operational, the schedule may increase based on project demands.

Responsibilities

- Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize building automation systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control (DDC) technology.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for technical issues and provide field leadership.
- Diagnose and resolve increasingly complex system issues.
- Support turnkey project delivery on small to medium-sized projects.
- Ensure proper operation of controls, sensors, and software platforms.
- Load software and configure trends, alarms, schedules, and reports.
- Manage time effectively to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate project status and document system performance and customer updates.
- Provide site-specific training to building owners and operators on system functionality and best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or technical/business school certification in HVAC Controls, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- Experience in building automation, HVAC controls, commissioning, construction, or a related industry.
- Ability to travel for training and project support.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, including RTUs, air handlers, chillers, and related equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
