What You'll Do

- Assist with construction inspection activities on roadway and transportation projects
- Observe and document construction progress and field conditions
- Verify work is being completed in accordance with project plans and specifications
- Perform or assist with materials testing, including asphalt, concrete, and soil testing
- Complete daily reports and project documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project personnel
- Promote safety and quality standards on active job sites
- Travel to project locations as needed

What We're Looking For

- Construction, engineering, materials testing, surveying, or related field experience preferred
- Interest in transportation, infrastructure, or civil construction projects
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain accurate documentation
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Desire to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the industry

Preferred Experience

- Construction inspection or materials testing experience
- Roadway, utility, site development, or transportation project experience
- Familiarity with NCDOT projects or specifications
- Existing certifications, including NCDOT, ACI, or related industry credentials

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
