Project Manager

Job Summary

Lead civil, environmental, materials, and geotechnical engineering projects from planning through completion. Responsible for project scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, risk management, safety, quality, and client satisfaction while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
### Key Responsibilities
Manage engineering projects from kickoff through closeout. Define project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables with clients and stakeholders. Develop and execute project plans, resource strategies, and schedules. Monitor project performance, budgets, and timelines; adjust as needed. Lead client communication and maintain strong relationships. Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and external partners. Prepare or oversee technical scopes, specifications, cost estimates, and forecasts. Manage project financials, including invoicing, change orders, and collections. Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with company policies. Lead project safety initiatives and enforce site safety standards. Drive quality control and continuous improvement throughout project execution. Mentor staff, assign work, and support professional development. Resolve technical and operational issues to keep projects on track.
### Required Qualifications
Experience managing civil, environmental, materials testing, or geotechnical engineering projects. Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and resource planning. Technical knowledge of civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering principles. Experience with geotechnical investigations, construction materials testing, or related field services. Proven ability to manage project financial performance and client relationships. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Understanding of project risk management, quality control, and safety programs.
### Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain. Consulting engineering or contractor-side project management experience. Experience with civil infrastructure, geotechnical systems, or concrete structures. Familiarity with project management software and financial tracking tools. Experience managing multi-office or multidisciplinary projects.
### Work Environment
Combination of office and field environments supporting civil, environmental, and geotechnical projects. Frequent collaboration with clients, project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and project delivery.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
