Procurement Specialist

Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist Job Description The Supply Chain Specialist manages inventory, sourcing, and vendor relationships to support efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. This role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory across systems and websites, sourcing products and freight services, negotiating pricing and terms, and partnering closely with vendors, fulfillment partners, and shipping providers. The position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to inventory accuracy, cost savings, and operational efficiency within a growing organization on a contract-to-hire basis. Responsibilities

- Manage inventory levels and inventory reporting using Excel and internal systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory availability across company websites and internal platforms.
- Update product information within inventory and procurement systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Source products and freight services to support operational and business needs.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive costs and favorable agreements.
- Coordinate with fulfillment houses and shipping providers to improve efficiencies and reduce freight and logistics costs.
- Prepare job quotes and pricing estimates as needed to support sales and operational activities.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong, collaborative supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, fulfillment centers, and shipping providers to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Assist with additional operational and administrative tasks related to purchasing, logistics, and inventory management as required.

Essential Skills

- Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, inventory tracking, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data analysis.
- Procurement and purchasing experience with responsibility for order placement and vendor management.
- Strong negotiation experience with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Product and freight sourcing experience supporting operational requirements.
- Inventory management experience, including maintaining accurate inventory levels across systems.
- Experience with ecommerce inventory management platforms.
- Familiarity with supply chain and logistics operations.
- Knowledge of freight procurement and shipping processes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP, purchasing, or inventory management software (highly preferred).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience updating ecommerce or website inventory platforms.
- Knowledge of fulfillment operations and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Experience managing freight carriers and shipping agreements.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Experience supporting quoting and pricing activities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Comfort working closely with leadership and key business partners.
- Interest in long-term career growth within purchasing, logistics, vendor management, and supply chain operations.

Work Environment This is an onsite role based in Boca Raton, FL, in a professional office environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The position is structured as a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, providing a clear pathway to long-term employment for high-performing individuals. The work style is hands-on, detail-oriented, and operationally focused, with frequent interaction and collaboration with vendors, fulfillment centers, shipping providers, and internal stakeholders. The organization is growing and offers exposure to purchasing, logistics, vendor management, and broader supply chain operations in a supportive, collaborative setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boca Raton, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
