You'll assist with patient intake, rooming, vital signs, documentation, referrals, and provider support while helping ensure patients receive compassionate, high-quality care. RESPONSIBILITIES Room patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for provider visits Prepare charts and maintain accurate EMR documentation Assist providers during examinations and treatments Support referral submissions and tracking Maintain monthly equipment logs and exam room readiness Assist with patient discharge and follow-up instructions Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Assist with scheduling and registration as needed Support efficient clinic flow and positive patient experiences ESSENTIAL SKILLS Medical Assistant diploma or certificate required Current CPR/BLS certification required EMR experience required 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred Strong back-office clinical experience Excellent patient care and communication skills Reliable attendance and punctuality Preferred Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Community health, nonprofit, primary care, or FQHC experience Hospital, ER, or urgent care experience Spanish-speaking a plus WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced community health clinic serving a diverse patient population. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
