Now, we're looking for an Operations Manager who is ready to lead from the field, develop great people, build strong customer relationships, and take ownership of operational performance.

The Role

As an Operations Manager , you are the heartbeat of day-to-day operations for your assigned customer accounts and locations.

You'll lead and develop Site Supervisors, Account Supervisors, Compliance & Safety Supervisors, Lead Custodians, and other operational team members while making sure our customers receive the high-quality, consistent service they expect from Verde.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to walk the floor, solve problems, coach people, build relationships, and get things done.

You'll be the operational connection between our site teams, customers, and Account Director-balancing people, performance, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and financial results every day.

What You'll Own

Operational Leadership

- Oversee daily operations and service delivery across assigned accounts and locations.

- Lead teams to consistently meet Verde's service, quality, safety, and customer expectations.

- Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned customers.

- Build trusted relationships with customers and respond quickly to operational needs.

- Support customer audits, assessments, business reviews, and operational inspections.

- Make informed day-to-day decisions within company policies and delegated authority.

- Escalate significant financial, personnel, customer, safety, quality, and compliance matters when needed.

People Leadership

Great operations start with great people.

- Lead, coach, develop, and hold supervisors and operational team members accountable.

- Build teams where people feel supported, respected, challenged, and empowered to succeed.

- Manage staffing, scheduling, labor allocation, and workforce needs.

Financial & Resource Management

Own the operation. Know the numbers. Make smart decisions.

- Manage labor, supplies, equipment, and operating expenses within budget.

- Monitor productivity, overtime, labor utilization, and resource allocation.

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising service or quality.

- Use operational data and performance metrics to guide decisions.

- Partner with leadership to address financial opportunities and challenges.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Good enough isn't the Verde way.

- Monitor service quality, inspections, documentation, and operational compliance.

- Identify service gaps, risks, and opportunities before they become bigger problems.

- Ensure corrective actions are completed effectively and on time.

- Review performance metrics, customer feedback, and trends to improve results.

- Implement process improvements and share successful practices across locations.

- Support the rollout of new programs, processes, technologies, and operational initiatives.

As an Operations Manager, you will:

- Ensure compliance with Verde, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.

- Conduct site visits, safety inspections, and risk assessments.

- Identify hazards and make sure corrective actions are completed.

- Support timely reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses.

- Partner with EHS and site leadership to reduce operational risk.

- Reinforce proper PPE use, safe work practices, chemical handling, and equipment requirements.

- Support emergency preparedness, drills, and incident response.

- Encourage employees to participate in safety programs and report hazards and good catches.

- Build a culture where supervisors and team members take ownership of safety.

- Exercise stop-work authority when an immediate safety risk is identified.

As an Operations Manager , you'll be accountable for performance across several key areas:

Financial Performance
Budget adherence, labor efficiency, productivity, and cost management.

Employee Satisfaction (ESAT)
Engagement, participation, development, and retention.

Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
Service quality, responsiveness, relationship management, and issue resolution.

Quality & Compliance
Inspection performance, documentation, corrective actions, and adherence to service standards.

Safety
EHS compliance, hazard prevention, safety engagement, and incident reduction.

Required Qualifications

- Associate's degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- 3–5 years of progressive operations experience in janitorial, facilities, environmental services, manufacturing support, or a related industry.

- 2–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.

- Experience managing multiple locations, customer accounts, or operational teams.

- Working knowledge of workforce planning, labor utilization, quality management, and operating expense control.

- Ability to analyze performance metrics and turn information into action.

- Ability to interpret and apply company policies, customer requirements, and safety procedures.

- Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, Environmental Services, or a related field.

- Experience in GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated environments.

- Bilingual English/Spanish skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.

- Experience supporting audits, inspections, regulatory compliance, and safety programs.

- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

- Experience with workforce management, scheduling, reporting, or electronic performance management systems.

What the Job Looks Like

This is a hands-on, field-focused leadership position.

You should be comfortable moving between customer locations, walking facilities, talking with frontline team members, inspecting work, coaching leaders, solving problems, reviewing performance data, and jumping in when your team needs you.

Physical Requirements

Constantly:

- Hear and speak to communicate with employees and customers, including in noisy environments and during emergencies.

Frequently:

- Stand and walk during site visits and inspections.

- Sit and use computers, phones, and mobile devices.

- Use vision to identify quality issues, safety hazards, and chemical labeling.

Occasionally:

- Climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to inspect facility areas.

- Push or pull carts and equipment.

- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

- Office, warehouse, manufacturing, laboratory, GMP, and cleanroom environments.

- Site-specific gowning procedures and required PPE may apply.

- PPE may include cleanroom garments, safety glasses, gloves, hairnets, safety footwear, and hearing protection.

- May encounter cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.

- Travel between assigned locations is required.

- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

- Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call response to operational or safety issues.
