The Opportunity:

Komatsu is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Project Managers, Maintenance Managers and senior operational leaders interested in a key site-based opportunity supporting a major heavy-equipment maintenance contract in Central Queensland.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for a multidisciplinary team of approximately 15 people, including maintenance planning, administration, parts, Leading Hands, HD Fitters and HV Electricians. You'll own the delivery of the maintenance contract; driving safety, machine availability, customer relationships, people performance, KPIs and commercial outcomes.

What you'll be doing

- Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team.

- Drive safe execution of planned and unplanned maintenance.

- Maximise heavy-equipment availability and reliability.

- Own contract KPIs, operational performance and customer outcomes.

- Manage budgets, costs and commercial performance.

- Build a strong working relationship with the customer.

- Coordinate maintenance planning, labour, contractors, parts and technical support.

- Champion continuous improvement and a genuine Zero Harm culture.

We're keen to hear from people with:

- Strong leadership experience in mining, heavy equipment, mobile plant or contract maintenance.

- The ability to lead tradespeople and technical teams in a high-performance environment.

- Strong commercial and customer-management capability.

- Sound knowledge of maintenance planning and equipment performance.

- Excellent safety leadership and knowledge of mining operations.

- Exposure to large mining equipment and OEM environments would be highly regarded.

- A trade background is preferred but not essential.
