About this role

At Farro, Auckland’s most mouthwatering food market, we are looking for our next People & Culture superstar! If you are a HR professional looking for your next challenge, where you can partner with leaders, provide practical HR advice and help create an empowering and caring environment where people can thrive and build their careers, then this could be the role for you!

This opportunity could suit someone who is currently a P&C Coordinator looking for an Advisor role, or a current HR Advisor looking for more HR generalist experience.

This role works Monday to Friday, based at our Grey Lynn Support Office , with some travel between our Farro stores. As our People & Culture Advisor you will play a key role in supporting our leaders and wider business across all things People & Culture. Here is some of what that looks like.

Key Responsibilities:

- Employment Relations: Provide advice and guidance to managers on ER matters, including disciplinary processes, conflict resolution and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent processes.

- Performance Management: Coach and support managers through performance conversations, improvement plans and other people-related matters.

- Recruitment & Onboarding: Support our end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, helping our leaders attract and bring great people into Farro.

- Learning & Development: Work alongside managers to identify development opportunities and build capability across their teams.

- People & Culture Projects: Lead and contribute to P&C projects, engagement initiatives, change processes and continuous improvements.

- People & Culture Data: Maintain accurate people data, provide reporting and use insights to help inform recommendations and decisions.

- Compliance: Keep up to date with employment legislation and ensure our people practices, processes and documentation remain compliant and fit for purpose.

- What we are looking for:

- Previous experience in a HR role.

- A relevant qualification in HR, Business, Psychology or a related field would be ideal but not necessary.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- High attention to detail and excellent organisation and time management skills.

- Confidence to build relationships and work with leaders across all levels of the business.

- A motivated self-starter who can take ownership and see things through from start to finish.

- A professional, approachable and solutions-focused working style.

We are a fun and bubbly small team , but we know when it’s time to knuckle down and get the work done, and team-fit is hugely important to us. You will have a great sense of humour but take your work seriously, have bags of initiative, be comfortable navigating the occasional tricky people situation, have a positive outlook, and of course, share our love of food!
