- 検査業務を支援し、工事・製作・補修作業が技術基準に従って行われることを確認する。
- 設備トラブルの解析および根本原因解析（RCA）を実施する。
- MET（Most Effective Technology）やベストプラクティスを活用し、設備の安全性・信頼性・性能向上を推進する。
- 設備改造、設備更新、および設備投資案件に対して機械技術支援を行う。
- 小規模・中規模プロジェクトでは機械分野のリードエンジニアとして活動し、他分野との調整を行う。
- プロジェクトのスコープ策定、見積支援、契約パッケージ作成、および変更管理を支援する。
- 安全設計、価値工学（Value Engineering）、およびコスト最適化を推進し、事業価値向上に貢献する。

- 機械工学、化学工学、材料工学または関連分野の学士号以上
- 製造業、設備保全、機械エンジニアリング、プロジェクトエンジニアリング、または関連分野での実務経験
- ポンプ、コンプレッサー、熱交換器、圧力容器、配管などの設備に関する知識
- 設備検査、設備規格、および信頼性向上活動に関する知識
- 問題解決能力およびチームワーク能力
- 日本語での業務遂行能力
- 英語による基本的なコミュニケーション能力
Job Summary
Works across manufacturing plants, maintenance organizations, and project teams to provide mechanical engineering expertise and technical solutions. Supports the design, inspection, maintenance, and improvement of fixed and rotating equipment while applying Most Effective Technology (MET), engineering standards, and industry best practices. May serve as a discipline lead for capital projects and provides specialized support to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Provides mechanical engineering expertise for fixed and rotating equipment across manufacturing facilities.
- Supports project, operations, and maintenance teams with technical solutions and recommendations.
- Reviews equipment drawings, specifications, and engineering documents to ensure quality and business requirements are met.
- Supports inspections and ensures fabrication, construction, and maintenance activities meet engineering standards and specifications.
- Performs troubleshooting and supports root cause investigations for equipment and mechanical system failures.
- Applies Most Effective Technology (MET), work processes, and industry best practices to improve safety, reliability, and performance.
- Provides mechanical engineering support for equipment modifications, replacements, and capital projects.
- Leads mechanical discipline activities for small and medium projects and coordinates work with other engineering disciplines.
- Supports project planning, scope development, estimating, contractor package development, and change management activities.
- Promotes safe design, value engineering, and cost-effective solutions that deliver long-term business value.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical engineering, project engineering, or related industrial operations.
- Knowledge of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping, and other industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, inspection practices, and reliability improvement methods.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese and basic business English.
