Salary range: $142,778.88-$189,499.00

General Description and Classification Standards

The Airport Assistant General Manager II (“AGM”) reports to the Airport Deputy General Manager & Chief Revenue Officer. The AGM role has direct oversight of multiple Airport business units within the Office of Revenue Development & Management, including (without limitation) airline affairs, commercial properties, and terminal management.

The AGM will play a critical team role in defining and implementing strategies and initiatives to maximize aeronautical revenue and enhance the customer experience in accordance with Airport policies and the strategy business plan. Specifically, the AGM will assist in leading / directing the day-to-day strategic and business initiatives related to growing aeronautical revenue activities; provide guidance and expertise for multiple specialized aeronautical and commercial functions; allocate and manage budgeted resources; establish processes and procedures to maintain efficiency within assigned business units; oversee multiple director and/or manager-level positions; provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to team members; and inspire a collaborative culture that is high performing and delivers results.

This is a senior level position within the Hartsfield-Jackson leadership structure.

Supervision Received

Able to work effectively with minimum supervision. Direction received is very general and focuses more both immediate and strategically planned objectives. This is a policy-advisory level of management.

Qualifications - External

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business/public administration, aviation management, or a related area.

Minimum of (10) years of management experience commercial development, business management, aviation services and/or related fields.

Preferred Education & Experience

Master’s degree in business management, commercial development, aviation services/industry, transportation and/or related assignments.

Licensures and Certifications

None required in general.
