Salary range: $142,778.88-$200,000.00

General Description and Classification Standards

The Airport Assistant General Manager II (“AGM”) reports to the Airport Deputy General Manager of the Office of Revenue Development & Management. The AGM role has direct oversight of multiple Airport business units, including (without limitation) parking, ground transportation, rental car center, real estate development, and other non-aeronautical revenue-generating services.

The AGM will play a critical team role in defining and implementing strategies and initiatives to maximize non-aeronautical revenue and enhance the customer experience in accordance with Airport policies and the strategic business plan. Specifically, the AGM will assist in leading / directing the day-to-day strategic and business initiatives related to growing non-aeronautical revenue activities; provide guidance and expertise for multiple specialized non-aeronautical and business development functions; allocate and manage budgeted resources; establish processes and procedures to maintain efficiency within assigned business units; oversee multiple director and/or manager-level positions; provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to team members; and inspire a collaborative culture that is high performing and delivers results.

This is a senior level position within the Hartsfield-Jackson leadership structure.

Supervision Received

Able to work effectively with minimum supervision. Direction received is very general and focuses more both immediate and strategically planned objectives. This is a policy-advisory level of management.

Qualifications - External

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business/public administration, aviation management, or a related area.

Minimum of (10) years of management experience commercial development, business management, aviation services and/or related fields.

Preferred Education & Experience

Master’s degree in business management, commercial development, aviation services/industry, transportation and/or related assignments.

Licensures and Certifications

None required in general.
