What if you could work on something that you can’t test… but cannot afford to fail? SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
As a Production Planner your main responsibilities would be:
- The creation and maintenance of Rough Cut Capacity Planning models.
- To detail plan methods of manufacture in response to tasking requirements with full regard to time, cost and quality.
- Ensuring local MRP system is updated and accurate.
- Ensuring that customer requirements are planned and released to Manufacturing and Operational activities within the timescales required.
- To provide manufacturing cost estimates and challenge operation times.
- To demonstrate and use ‘Lean Planning’ techniques and ‘Production Control’ processes such as visual management, Kanban and Push/Pull in the operational/ manufacturing areas.
You’ll:
- Have proven experience in project planning, production planning or manufacturing planning within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Have experience creating, maintaining and analysing Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) models to support resource and production planning.
- Have strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to develop detailed production plans that balance time, cost and quality requirements.
- Have experience using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems, with responsibility for maintaining accurate planning and scheduling data.
