Systems Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical / Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration, verification, testing, and troubleshooting of high-reliability electronic systems. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving and working at the intersection of hardware and software. The engineer will support product integration, root-cause investigations, verification activities, component obsolescence efforts, and specialty engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Support hardware/software integration, system testing, and troubleshooting of electronic equipment. Perform integration and verification testing to ensure products meet functional specifications and customer requirements. Read and interpret electrical schematics to support test, integration, and failure investigations. Troubleshoot electronic circuits containing both active and passive components. Support testing and troubleshooting of high-criticality and high-reliability products. Perform and assist with root cause and corrective action investigations. Evaluate technical issues and develop practical solutions to hardware, software, and process problems. Assess minor hardware redesigns and mitigation strategies resulting from component obsolescence or customer-requested changes. Support embedded systems integration and troubleshooting. Assist with specialty engineering activities, including: o Reliability analysis o Maintainability and availability analysis o Failure analysis o Safety engineering Verify and validate system designs for conformance to functional specifications and customer requirements. Work collaboratively with hardware, software, systems, test, and specialty engineering teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; an Engineering Technology degree or related technical degree will also be considered. 18 years of applicable engineering experience. Experience integrating, testing, or troubleshooting electronic hardware and software. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. Working knowledge of active and passive electronic components and circuit operation. Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to investigate failures and contribute to root cause/corrective action activities. Ability to work onsite in Endicott, NY. Preferred Qualifications Experience with embedded systems. Experience with high-reliability or high-criticality electronic products. Hardware/software integration and verification experience. Experience supporting component obsolescence or minor electronic redesign efforts. Exposure to reliability, maintainability, availability, failure analysis, or safety engineering. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $58.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
