Your mission will be…
The Head of Procurement leads the procurement function for Siemens eMobility globally including 3 major manufacturing locations, Procurement Engineering, Commodity Management and Project Procurement, and defines, implements, and continuously develops procurement strategies aligned with business objectives. The role ensures competitiveness, supply security, value contribution, sustainability, and compliance, while acting as a strategic advisor to management on procurement-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the procurement strategy in line with business needs, market developments, and corporate requirements.
- Set priorities, targets, and roadmaps to ensure long-term competitiveness and supply resilience.

Business Partnership and Sourcing
- Advise the Siemens eMobility leadership team on sourcing strategies, supplier markets, risks, and commercial opportunities.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier strategies, major negotiations, and contract-related activities.

Cost, Risk, and Performance Management
- Drive cost optimization, value creation, and KPI-based performance management across procurement activities.
- Identify and mitigate supply risks, ensure business continuity, and manage supplier performance and development.

Sustainability and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Siemens policies, legal requirements, and procurement governance.
- Promote sustainable and responsible sourcing practices across the supplier base.

People and Collaboration
- Lead and develop the procurement organization, build capabilities, and foster a high-performance and inclusive culture.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, quality, finance, project management, sales, and other key stakeholders in a global environment.

Leadership and Organizational Scope
- Overall responsibility for procurement within the defined Siemens eMobility scope.
- Leadership of procurement teams and contribution to transformation, governance, and operational excellence.
- Active participation in senior leadership discussions and strategic decision-making.

We are looking for someone with …
Education
- University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

Experience
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related commercial functions.
- Proven leadership experience in complex, international, and cross-functional environments.
- Strong track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, stakeholder management, and procurement transformation.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, electrification, automotive, energy, infrastructure, or eMobility-related industries is desirable.

Competency

- Strong strategic procurement expertise, commercial acumen, analytical capability, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures, within matrix organizations, and in changing business environments.

Languages

- Fluent English required; German and additional languages are an advantage.
