Tool Data Management Specialist

Position Summary
The TDM Program Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Tool Data Management program using TDM Global Line. This position will establish standardized processes for tool data, tool assembly, tool crib management, tool circulation, presetting, machine support, and related production workflows. The role will serve as the primary internal owner of the TDM program and will coordinate activities among Manufacturing, CNC Programming, Tool Crib, Tooling, Quality, Engineering, IT, Purchasing, and external TDM partners. The successful candidate will ensure that TDM becomes an effective, accurate, and routinely used part of the company’s manufacturing system.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

- Associate’s degree in manufacturing technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, tooling, tool crib operations, production support, or manufacturing systems.
- Working knowledge of cutting tools, tool assemblies, CNC machining processes, presetting, and tool-life concepts.
- Experience with TDM Global Line is preferred but not required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Strong understanding of manufacturing data and the relationship between tooling, NC programming, CAM, ERP, and shop-floor execution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, IT, Purchasing, and external vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to spend time in manufacturing and shop-floor environments supporting implementation activities.
