As the CEI practice leader for North Carolina and CEI Senior Project Engineer, your responsibilities will focus on growing and sustaining a North Carolina-based Construction Services practice as well as participation in and/or in support of other Egis construction services activities on a regional and national basis as needed and available. Primary focus will be pursuing new CEI contract opportunities with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and municipalities, as well as acquiring and maintaining necessary staff to accomplish this objective.

Your impact:

- Manages the full life cycle (proposal-initiation-execution/control-closeout) of CEI pursuits and contracts in North Carolina and assumes primary responsibility for project profit or loss.

- Manages all activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, resources, procurement, and risk elements required to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility. Overall objective is to build and maintain a positive client relationship, and to achieve or exceed established goals, including revenue and profit.

- Establishes contractor-client liaison network to keep all interested parties informed of project planning, start date, and work progress

- Forms CEI teams and ensures responsibilities are assigned and tasks are started and completed according to schedule

- Maintains a continuous business relationship with major clients as part of ongoing business development efforts

- Lead construction engineering administration and inspection teams

- Plan and organize the work of subordinates and staff members

- Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures

- Review work programs at the state and local level

- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to market and pursue projects with new and existing clients.

Who you are:

- 15 + years of CEI Project Engineer experience on transportation projects, 2+ years of which must include major road and/or bridge construction projects, or 5+ of which must include major bridge construction projects.

- B. S. Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university.

- Must possess a current NC PE License.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
