North Center Family Seeking Part-Time Evening Nanny

A warm and welcoming family in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood is looking for a part-time evening nanny to care for their two children, ages 8 and 3. There is a cat in the home.

The ideal candidate is warm, engaging, and fun-loving , while also being confident setting clear boundaries and expectations. Consistency and follow-through are especially important to this family. They are looking for someone who can create a positive, structured environment where both children feel supported and understood.

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
- Helping with basic meal prep for the family, as needed
- Assisting with kid-related organization and tidying
- Engaging both children in age-appropriate activities and play
- Helping with the children's evening routines
- Providing attentive, dependable care while transitioning comfortably between the needs of an 8-year-old and a 3-year-old

Desired Schedule:

- Monday: 4:30–7:30 PM
- Tuesday: 4:30–6:30 PM
- Wednesday: 5:00–7:00 PM
- Thursday: 3:30–6:30 PM

The family can be flexible for the right candidate , and there may be opportunities for additional hours if the nanny is interested in taking on extra household-related tasks.

Having your own vehicle is preferred, but the family does have a car available for the nanny to use when needed. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

This family is looking for someone who is adaptable, dependable, and comfortable caring for children at different developmental stages . Most importantly, they are hoping to find someone who will become a valued part of their family and is interested in a long-term commitment .
