Chicago (Bridgeport) Full-Time Infant Nanny A family in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood is seeking a warm, patient, and dependable nanny to care for their infant son, who will be 5 months old at the start of the placement.
The position will begin January 4, 2027, and is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM. Please note that the schedule may vary slightly as the family works out their commute routine ahead of the nanny's January start date.
The ideal candidate will have strong infant care experience and a solid understanding of safe sleep practices, feeding safety, and developmental milestones. The family is looking for someone who can confidently support their son as he grows, navigate developmental transitions, and provide attentive, nurturing care. Excellent communication skills are important! The family values a nanny who will follow and support their care preferences while also sharing observations, offering ideas, and maintaining open, collaborative communication. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing attentive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate infant care
- Following safe sleep and feeding practices
- Supporting developmental milestones and daily routines
- Baby laundry and bottle washing
- Bathing the baby
- Keeping play areas tidy and organized
- Light household tidying, such as wiping down counters and folding blankets
Additional Details: The family has a very friendly dog in the home who can be a little excitable and likes to jump. Candidates must be comfortable around dogs. No regular pet care is required, aside from occasionally letting the dog out into the fenced portion of the front yard. The family lives in a three-story townhome, so candidates should also be comfortable navigating stairs throughout the day.
