What You'll Do

As the Accounting Specialist , you'll support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business while working closely with accounting, operations, and HR. Your responsibilities will include:

- Process accounts payable invoices , match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, and code expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Prepare weekly AP check runs and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Manage corporate credit card transactions, including coding, payments, and reconciliations.
- Process accounts receivable invoices and customer payments accurately and on time.
- Assist with customer and vendor billing questions, credits, and collections.
- Support biweekly payroll for approximately 100 employees , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with month-end close , including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare documentation supporting financial statements and audit requests.
- Cross-train in benefits administration, onboarding, and employee leave processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and handle confidential company and employee information appropriately.
- Provide additional accounting and administrative support when needed.
- Partner with team members and leadership to identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings a strong accounting foundation and is comfortable taking ownership of their work. Key qualifications include:

- 5+ years of combined AP, AR, payroll, and/or general accounting experience , including at least 4 years of direct AP, AR, or general accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with invoice processing and general ledger coding .
- Working knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Experience supporting payroll, ideally for a workforce of approximately 100 employees.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, spreadsheets, and accurate data entry.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment .
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and take accountability for assigned responsibilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable, professional, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Comfortable working fully on-site in a direct, fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Even Better If You Have

- Experience with CenterPoint or similar accounting software.
- Exposure to benefits administration, employee onboarding, or leave management.
- Experience partnering with operations and HR teams.
- A proactive mindset and interest in improving processes.
- A desire to continue growing professionally and potentially take on broader accounting or leadership responsibilities in the future.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits
