Financial Analyst

Job Title: Financial Analyst Job Description The Financial Analyst gathers, analyzes, and interprets financial information to support investment programs for institutional clients. This role focuses on quantitative analysis of data affecting investment activities, transfer agent processes, and fund and cash operations, and is responsible for clearly communicating financial insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities

- Collect, analyze, and communicate financial and operational information that impacts core transfer agent processes, working closely with investment operations, fund accounting staff, relationship managers, portfolio managers, custodians, and clients.
- Respond to inquiries related to cash and trade breaks and other operational issues from internal and external business partners, resolving straightforward issues and escalating more complex problems appropriately.
- Complete complex data analysis to support investment and operational decision-making, including identifying trends, performing root-cause analysis, and executing on recommended actions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on moderately complex matters related to transfer agent fund and cash operations, providing guidance on complex transactions and coordinating with internal and external groups to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Direct escalations to senior-level staff when necessary and represent the team in projects, meetings, and discussions with business partners and vendors.
- Identify processing inefficiencies in transfer agent and cash operations, develop recommendations for improvement, and deliver actionable resolution support to the assigned business unit.
- Ensure adherence to quality review procedures in data analysis and reporting, maintaining high standards of accuracy and reliability in all deliverables.
- Lead business unit-specific projects and participate in broader organizational initiatives, including planning, execution, and monitoring of project milestones.
- Work with leadership to identify areas of concern in processes or reporting, propose solutions, and manage follow-up activities to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate team members and resources to accomplish project goals, ensuring timely delivery of required materials, reports, and documentation.

- Familiarity with transfer agent processes and cash operations within financial services.

Work Environment This role follows a hybrid work schedule with four days on site and Fridays worked from home in Owings Mills. The position operates in a professional office environment that emphasizes collaboration with investment operations, fund accounting, relationship management, portfolio management, and custodial teams. Work involves extensive use of financial systems, data analysis tools, and reporting platforms, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication. The environment supports project-based work, cross-functional interaction, and adherence to established quality review procedures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
