What this job involves: As the Senior Director, Account Operations in the Public Institutions sector, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of a large key client account, ensuring seamless delivery of services, and driving strategic growth. You will work closely with senior leadership to align operational strategies with business objectives, optimize resource allocation, and enhance client satisfaction while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
This role will be onsite 5 days/week at our client's site in Salt Lake City, UT.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Partner with the Account Director to develop and implement operational strategies to support account growth and profitability
- Assist to oversee day-to-day operations of a key client account, ensuring service excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and align with the Leadership Team to provide strategic improvement process
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for account operations
- Lead resource planning and allocation to meet client demands and project timelines
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and client stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Manage and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to address operational concerns and opportunities
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
- Experience in managing large-scale client accounts or projects
- Knowledge of facility management industry trends, challenges, and regulatory landscape
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma)
- Understanding of industry technology and its process implementation
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and data analytics tools
- Proficiency in financial modeling and budgeting for complex accounts
- Knowledge of supply chain management
- Familiarity with quality management systems and risk management frameworks
- Experience with client relationship management tools and techniques
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with at least 5 years in a senior operational role
- Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex client accounts or programs
- Strong understanding of distributed portfolio management, its business processes and operational challenges
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding communication, executive presence and presentation skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels, both internally and with clients
- Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence and process improvements
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management
- Strong understanding of real estate and facility management technology applications
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and site visits
