Sales Analyst
Tenant Representation
Location: Austin, TX
Work Arrangement: Full-Time, In-Office
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Sales Analyst to support our Tenant Representation team. This individual will serve as the central source of market intelligence and leasing data, maintaining critical information that drives business development, client pursuits, and transaction activity across the team.
The Senior Sales Analyst will be responsible for tracking tenants in the market, maintaining lease expiration and renewal data, managing lead generation initiatives, and developing comprehensive market intelligence on Class B+ and Class A office assets. This role works closely with brokers, executive leadership, research professionals, and other business lines to ensure accurate, actionable information is available to support leasing strategy and client pursuits.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about commercial real estate research, data management, and market analysis. It is not designed as a brokerage-track role, but rather as a strategic business intelligence and sales support position.
Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Research
- Maintain a comprehensive database of office tenants throughout the MSA, including lease expiration dates, occupancy details, square footage, and key decision-makers.
- Track and maintain an up-to-date inventory of all Class B+ and Class A office properties, including ownership, occupancy, leasing activity, and expiration schedules, and more.
- Identify and track tenants actively evaluating relocation, expansion, renewal, or consolidation opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, leasing activity, new developments, and competitive intelligence.
- Conduct proactive research using public and proprietary data sources to identify business opportunities for the leasing team.
Lease & Tenant Tracking
- Maintain accurate lease expiration ("Lease X") reports and stacking plans across target properties and submarkets.
- Track tenant movement, upcoming lease events, occupancy changes, and market availability.
- Ensure leasing databases remain current and reliable for business development initiatives.
- Work with research team to prepare recurring market reports and strategic prospecting lists.
Lead Management & Business Development Support
- Serve as the lead management resource for the Tenant Representation team.
- Manage prospect pipelines, opportunity tracking, and business development reporting.
- Assist brokers with pursuit targeting and strategic account identification.
- Support executive leadership with market intelligence used for business planning and sales strategy.
Data Management & Reporting
- Own the integrity and accuracy of market, tenant, and lease data.
- Build and maintain sophisticated Excel models, dashboards, and tracking reports.
- Analyze trends and generate actionable insights from large datasets.
- Work with the various internal resources to produce custom reports, presentations, and market analyses for internal and client-facing use.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with leasing, property management, investment sales, research, and other internal business lines to validate and enhance market information.
- Coordinate with executive leadership to ensure accurate reporting and strategic alignment.
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives requiring market research and analytical support.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales analytics, research, business intelligence, or related analytical roles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage large datasets and maintain high levels of data accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
