Dewberry is seeking a Senior Project Manager with Site/Civil Engineering design and management experience to join our site infrastructure planning and design practice. This position has the flexibility to be located in any of our Northern Virginia offices . In this leadership role, you’ll manage complex land development and site/civil engineering projects serving the commercial and public sector markets, while driving business growth, strengthening client relationships, and providing mentorship to supporting staff. Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, design, and execution of site/civil engineering projects from concept through construction.

- Direct multidisciplinary design teams in all aspects of project delivery, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, utility design, and associated calculations and reports.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and fostering long-term relationship development and management.

- Lead business development initiatives, including client outreach, proposal preparation, and contract management.

- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and enter new geographic and market sectors.

- Collaborate with Dewberry teams across the organization to deliver complex, high-impact projects and leverage the firm's full range of capabilities.

- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans to drive successful project performance.

- Manages subcontractors

- Guide projects through local, state and federal regulatory review processes, including land use entitlements, site plan approvals and environmental processes.

- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for junior and mid-level staff.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Required Experience

- BS degree in Civil Engineering.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in the design and management of land development & site/civil capital improvement projects, in institutional, aviation, municipal, and/or Federal markets.

- Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license.

- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling software, and Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong project management skills, including comprehensive experience in contract management, project finance, schedule development/management, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams.

- Extensive knowledge of local permitting and regulatory approval processes in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metro region.

- Strong construction administration capabilities.

- Outstanding written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.

- Proficient in mentoring staff, technical leadership and driving project success.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

- Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $150,000-$190,000 annually in our Fairfax, VA office. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
