The Devenere Law Collective is seeking a highly motivated Contract Civil Litigation Attorney to support its growing litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with strong civil litigation experience who can independently manage cases from intake through resolution while working in a flexible, primarily remote environment.

💰 Compensation
Contract Compensation $90 - $115 per approved billable hour Target: 160 billable hours per month Estimated Monthly Earnings: $14,400 - $18,400 1099 Independent Contractor Initial Contract Term: 6-8 Months Potential Conversion to Permanent Employment About the Role
The Contract Civil Litigation Attorney will handle a variety of civil litigation matters, including business disputes and real estate litigation. This position requires strong litigation skills, courtroom experience, motion practice, discovery management, and the ability to independently manage cases in both Texas State and Federal Courts.
Key Responsibilities Manage civil litigation matters from intake through resolution Handle business litigation and real estate litigation matters Conduct discovery and manage case strategy Draft motions, pleadings, and legal documents Take and defend depositions Attend hearings and courtroom appearances Manage federal and state court filings Communicate with clients and opposing counsel Maintain billable hour expectations Travel for court appearances when required Collaborate with attorneys and firm leadership Required Qualifications
✅ Active Texas Bar License ✅ Good Standing with the Texas State Bar ✅ Active admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas ✅ 2-5 years of Civil Litigation experience ✅ Business Litigation experience ✅ Real Estate Litigation experience ✅ Discovery and Depositions experience ✅ Motion drafting and legal writing experience ✅ Federal and State Court filing experience ✅ Courtroom experience ✅ Ability to independently manage cases ✅ Ability to maintain approximately 160 billable hours per month ✅ Ability to travel throughout Harris, Fort Bend, and Brazoria Counties ✅ Ability to report to the Houston office when required ✅ Willingness to commit to a 6-8 month contract
