JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled senior full stack developer (backend heavy) with 5-8 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in java spring boot, high-performance api development, microservices architecture, api security, and angular-based frontend development. This role requires hands-on experience in building scalable and secure backend services, implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, understanding maven build processes, supporting deployments, and working with containerized applications. The candidate should be capable of independently owning development activities across design, coding, testing, deployment support, and production issue resolution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable rest apis using java and spring boot.
- Develop enterprise-grade microservices following clean architecture, solid principles, and industry best practices.
- Build secure applications using oauth 2.0, openid connect (oidc), jwt, rbac, and claims-based authorization.
- Read, interpret, and enforce authorization using jwt claims and security policies.
- Develop and maintain angular-based user interfaces and integrate them with backend apis.
- Utilize spring data jpa and hibernate for data access and persistence.
- Follow repository and orm-based patterns and avoid embedding raw sql within application code.
- Design scalable data models and collaborate on database performance optimization initiatives.
- Manage maven builds, dependencies, plugins, profiles, and multi-module projects.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, application, and production issues.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and development best practices.
- Build and package applications using docker and support containerized deployments.
- Contribute to application testing through unit, integration, and api testing.
- Work effectively within agile/scrum teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- 5-8 years of software development experience.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with java and spring boot.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with angular.
- Proven experience developing and supporting enterprise applications.
- Experience building high-performance rest apis and microservices.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization using oauth2, oidc, jwt, and rbac.
- Experience with maven build lifecycle and release management.
- Experience working with git-based source control systems.
- Experience packaging and deploying applications using docker.
- Experience participating in agile/scrum development environments.

- Achieve 80%+ unit test coverage for newly developed backend components.
- Participate in 100% code reviews for assigned development activities.
- Resolve production issues within agreed service level expectations.
- Independently own design, development, testing, deployment support, and production support activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across frontend, backend, database, and deployment layers.
- Effectively collaborate in Agile teams and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Complete required safety certifications
