JOB SUMMARY:

the UX engineer / product design engineer is responsible for designing, validating, and delivering user-centered digital experiences that effectively support business processes and product goals. this role combines deep user experience design expertise with strong design-system thinking and practical technical knowledge to ensure solutions are intuitive for end users and feasible for engineering teams.

the ideal candidate is a primeng-first designer with extensive experience using primeng v19+, figma, and enterprise ux principles to create scalable, reusable, and consistent experiences. they must be capable of translating business requirements into production-ready designs using standard primeng components, minimizing customization while maximizing usability, maintainability, and development efficiency.

This role plays a critical part in improving user adoption, reducing workflow friction, driving consistency across products, and transforming business data into meaningful dashboard-driven insights.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

- Conduct user research activities including stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiries, surveys, workshops, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, pain points, and business objectives.

- Analyze business processes and translate requirements into user journeys, workflow diagrams, task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.

- Design intuitive, accessible, responsive, and visually appealing enterprise applications using a PrimeNG-first design approach.

- Create Figma designs that directly align with PrimeNG v19+ components and implementation capabilities.

- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners, and Engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Validate design solutions through usability testing, heuristic evaluations, analytics, and stakeholder feedback, iterating as required.

- Develop and maintain reusable design systems, Figma component libraries, templates, and UX patterns to ensure consistency and scalability.

- Promote design reusability, standardization, and uniform user experiences across products and modules.

- Transform traditional data tables and operational reports into meaningful dashboard experiences with actionable insights and KPI-driven visualizations.

- Ensure solutions meet accessibility standards (WCAG), responsiveness requirements, and enterprise design standards.

- Partner with development teams to ensure accurate design-to-code implementation and component compliance.

- Support image, icon, and visual asset preparation for digital products using appropriate design tools.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, demos, retrospectives, and design reviews.

- Continuously evaluate user feedback, product usage patterns, and stakeholder input to identify optimization opportunities.

- Advocate for component-driven design, reusable UX patterns, and design system adoption across teams.

- Ensure minimal customization of PrimeNG components and maximize the use of standard platform capabilities.

EDUCATION

- Bachelors degree in User Experience Design, Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

EXPERIENCE

- 5-8 years of professional experience in UX Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Product Design Engineering, or UX Engineering roles.

- Proven experience designing enterprise software, SaaS platforms, industrial applications, ERP systems, operational systems, or other complex business applications.

- Strong hands-on experience with Figma and design system management.

- Proven experience designing solutions using PrimeNG v19+ components and patterns.

- Experience transforming business requirements into production-ready designs.

- Experience conducting user research and usability testing activities.

- Experience creating reusable design systems and component libraries.

- Experience converting operational data and tabular information into dashboard-driven user experiences.

- Experience working within Agile/Scrum product teams.

- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Business Stakeholders.

- Experience supporting design-to-development workflows and implementation reviews.

- Understanding of enterprise software development practices and front-end implementation considerations.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

- UX Certification (NN/g, HFI, UXQB, or equivalent)

- Human-Centered Design Certifications
