Serco supports the U.S. Army as a prime contractor for the Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract, which implements capabilities that enable the Army to deploy Command Posts across the operational spectrum. Our team develops, integrates, tests, and maintains modern and mobile solutions for an integrated command and control infrastructure.

You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systems and associated supporting documentation.  The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.

In this role, you will:

- Researches suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
- May create purchase orders for the acquisition of materials.
- Deals directly with vendors and clients to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to appropriate locations.
- May inspect goods upon delivery to verify delivered goods match order specifications. Handles any delivery inconsistencies or delays.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Ensures efficient and cost-effective procurement and delivery of products and services for the government client.
- Ensures efficient and effective warehouse and inventory operations.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Typically reports to a supervisor.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

- An active DoD Secret clearance.
- A Bachelor’s Degree with 5 Years of Logistics experience OR an Associate Degree with 10 years of Logistics experience

- Experience in government logistics and procurement policies and procedures
- Experience utilizing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and/or Government logistics and inventory databases.
- Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Knowledge of MS- Office computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- The ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

- Knowledge of supply and warehouse management; preferably within Government or Military operations
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001:2015

Salary range: The hourly amount for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This role is covered by the Service Contract Act. For positions on this contract, we will pay the prevailing wage rate for the location in which the employee is working, as determined by the Department of Labor and the Wage Determination (WD). The wage rate will vary depending on the locality. Additionally, you will receive Health and Welfare Benefits based on the WD for the contract.
