What You'll Do

As a Body Shop Estimator / Advisor, youll play an important role in helping customers navigate the collision repair process while ensuring accurate repair estimates and insurance documentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Inspect damaged vehicles and determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, and interior damage.

- Prepare accurate estimates for labor, parts, refinishing, and other necessary repairs.

- Appraise vehicle damage to determine repair costs for insurance claim settlements.

- Determine whether damaged parts should be repaired or replaced.

- Evaluate repair feasibility versus total-loss considerations and vehicle market value.

- Determine salvage value when a vehicle is considered a total loss.

- Prepare insurance forms, repair estimates, and recommendations.

- Review repair estimates with the Body Shop Manager or Foreman.

- Work collaboratively to resolve differences in repair-cost assessments, including coordinating additional appraisals when necessary.

- Estimate costs associated with repainting, special-purpose conversions, or customization of undamaged vehicles.

- Provide professional, responsive customer service throughout the repair process.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

- 2+ years of experience in an automotive service dealership preferred

- Exceptional customer service skills

- Strong organizational and follow-up abilities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

- Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
