Logistics Engineer

Job Title: Logistics Engineer Job Description
As a Logistics Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive product support analysis for multiple programs and customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective logistics strategies and processes. Your experience in logistics support analysis (LSA), military operations, and familiarity with GEIA-STD-0007 and XML will be crucial to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct logistics support analysis to identify potential issues and develop solutions for optimizing logistics processes.
- Collaborate with various teams, including engineering, supply chain, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of logistics support activities.
- Develop logistics plans and procedures, including maintenance, supply support, training, and packaging.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual requirements, including GEIA-STD-0007.
- Provide expertise and guidance on logistics-related matters to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Coordinate with external suppliers, contractors, and government agencies to support logistics operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance logistics capabilities.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or an additional 4 years of relevant logistics experience in lieu of a degree.
- Previous experience in logistics support analysis, preferably within the Department of Defense industry.
- Strong knowledge of GEIA-STD-0007 and XML coding.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools, as well as data analysis and visualization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearances.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
- Military experience in supply chain, maintenance, or flight, with a thorough understanding of military logistics processes and terminology.
- Previous experience with developing training courses or training documentation for products used to train the warfighter.
- An understanding of repair level analysis and life cycle cost modeling.

This is a Contract position based out of Huntsville, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
