The LAND 6504 Systems Engineering Support resources will assist development of the LAND 6504 engineering baseline, capability definition, system architecture, requirements framework, integration strategy and verification approach supporting Early Access Funding and Combined Pass approval activities.

Role : The Systems Engineering Support resources will undertake research, analysis, planning, requirements development, architecture development, verification planning and engineering management activities to establish and maintain a coherent capability definition for the LAND 6504 capability.

The role will require personnel to liaise extensively with Defence stakeholders across Army Headquarters, ADFHQ, Defence Delivery Group (DDG), Joint Capabilities Group (JCG), Defence Delivery Group, Army operational representatives, IAMD Program, Joint Fires stakeholders, Defence Industry, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) representatives, certification authorities and other Defence and external agencies.

The Systems Engineering Support resources will assist development of engineering artefacts and capability requirements over the period of performance as follows:

• System Engineering Management - Develop engineering review processes and design review criteria, Support technical authority decision-making, Support engineering risk management activities, Develop engineering reporting mechanisms and metrics, Support engineering assurance reviews.

• Requirements Engineering - Analyse capability needs and operational requirements for systems and sub-systems included in the MRGBAD capability solution, develop Functional Performance Specification (FPS)

• Develop and maintain LAND 6504 capability requirements, ensuring alignment between operational needs, capability outcomes and engineering solutions. LAND6504 requirements are to be managed proactively through digital engineering tools i.e. Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).

• Analyse and decompose Operational Concept Document (OCD) and develop Functional Performance Specification (FPS) requirements into system and subsystem level requirements.

• Develop and maintain Systems Engineering artefacts including, Requirements Register, Architecture Products, Interface Register and Engineering Decision Register.

• Support development of system architectures, capability models and engineering baselines to inform acquisition, integration and sustainment planning activities.

• Conduct and support engineering analysis, trade studies and technical assessments to evaluate capability options, risks, opportunities and solution suitability.

• Support engineering engagement with key Defence, Industry, OEM and FMS stakeholders and facilitate technical discussions during FPS and solution development activities.

• Identify internal and external system interfaces and develop Interface Registers and Interface Control Documents to support integration and interoperability requirements.

• Develop and maintain requirements traceability from operational needs through system requirements, architecture products, verification activities and acceptance criteria.

• Support development of verification strategies, Verification Cross Reference Matrices, Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP) and acceptance frameworks to demonstrate compliance with capability requirements.

• Assess technical, integration, interoperability and engineering risks and recommend mitigation strategies to support successful capability delivery and Gate approval activities.

• Support configuration management activities including maintenance of engineering baselines, change assessments and technical decision records.

• Develop engineering evidence and artefacts required to support Combined Pass approval, acquisition decision-making, certification activities and future capability transition into service.

Mandatory requirements:

- Minimum NV1 clearance with ability to obtain NV2. (NV2 Clearance preferred).

- Must be able to work from Brindabella Business Park 5 days per week, CBR location preferred.

- Relevant experience undertaking role responsibilities.

- Minimum 6 years’ experience, preferably within Defence.

- Experience in complex acquisition projects.
