The LAND 6504 Modelling and Simulation (M&S) SME will provide specialist advice across modelling and simulation, capability analysis, operational effectiveness assessment, requirements validation, system performance evaluation and acquisition decision support.

Role:

• Identify capability systems, sub-systems, operational functions and performance measures included within the LAND 6504 capability solution.

• Collect and analyse technical, operational and simulation data from Defence, Industry, OEM and FMS stakeholders.

• Support development of FPS requirements for Modelling and Simulation for LAND 6504 capability.

• Develop and maintain modelling and simulation requirements supporting capability assessment and acquisition activities.

• Conduct threat, engagement and operational simulations to assess capability effectiveness under representative operational conditions.

• Assess launcher, missile, radar, command and control, communications and sensor performance characteristics through modelling and simulation activities.

• Develop operational scenarios and simulation environments representative of LAND 6504 capability and operational requirements.

• Conduct performance assessments considering different threats, force structures, readiness levels and operational scenarios.

• Lead modelling and simulation trade studies to assess alternative capability solutions, architectures and acquisition approaches.

• Conduct comparative capability assessments across candidate solutions considering operational effectiveness, technical performance, interoperability and growth potential.

• Conduct risk and opportunity analysis associated with capability performance, architecture decisions and operational employment concepts.

• Support validation pathway of system requirements and Functional Performance Specifications (FPS) using modelling and simulation evidence.

• Support integration and interoperability assessments through simulation of system interfaces and operational interactions.

• Support development of engineering evidence, technical recommendations and capability assessments required for Combined Pass activities.

• Present modelling outcomes, assumptions, findings and recommendations to Defence stakeholders and governance forums.

Mandatory requirements:

- Minimum NV1 clearance with ability to obtain NV2. (NV2 Clearance preferred).

- Must be able to work from Brindabella Business Park 5 days per week, CBR location preferred.

- Relevant experience undertaking role responsibilities.

- Minimum 6 years’ experience, preferably within Defence.

- Experience in complex acquisition projects.
