Test and Evaluation SME The LAND 6504 Test and Evaluation (T&E) SME will assist development of the LAND 6504 Test and Evaluation strategy, verification framework, acceptance planning and capability validation activities supporting Combined Pass approval activities. The SME will provide specialist advice across verification and validation planning, Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) development, capability acceptance, trials planning, risk reduction activities and evidence-based capability assessment.

Role:

• Identify verification, validation and acceptance requirements applicable to the LAND 6504 capability solution.

• Collect and analyse capability requirements, operational performance measures, architecture products and technical information required to support T&E planning activities.

• Support T&E activities with key Defence, Industry, OEM, FMS and operational stakeholders.

• Support Develop and maintain the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).

• Support Develop Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRM) and verification strategies to demonstrate compliance against capability and system requirements.

• Define capability acceptance criteria, measures of effectiveness and measures of performance.

• Develop test concepts, test plans and verification methodologies supporting capability assessment activities.

• Conduct risk and opportunity analysis associated with testing, verification activities, trials, evaluation events and capability acceptance.

• Support development of acceptance frameworks and evidence collection strategies required for certification and capability approval activities.

• Assess test environments, simulation requirements and modelling support required to validate capability performance.

• Identify verification, validation and test risks and recommend mitigation strategies to support capability acceptance and acquisition outcomes.

• Support development of technical evidence, assessment reports and T&E recommendations required for Combined Pass activities.

• LAND 6504 Test and Evaluation Master Plan or Strategy developed and maintained.

• Verification, validation and acceptance requirements identified and assessed.

• Baseline Test and Evaluation data established to support capability development and acquisition activities.

• Verification Cross Reference Matrix established and maintained.

• Capability acceptance criteria and verification methods defined.

• Capability performance requirements assessed against operational scenarios and mission objectives.

• Test plans, evaluation methodologies and evidence collection approaches developed.

• Verification, validation and acceptance risks and opportunities identified and assessed.

• Recommendations developed to support capability acceptance, certification and acquisition decisions.

• Technical evidence developed to support Combined Pass submissions and future capability acceptance activities.

• Technical data may not be available or accurate, impacting test planning and evaluation outcomes.

• System architectures and interfaces may not be sufficiently mature to support detailed verification planning.

• Test environments or representative operational conditions may not be available when required.

• Verification methods may require refinement as capability designs mature.

• Delays in related engineering, integration or certification activities may impact T&E schedules.

• Stakeholder availability may impact review, endorsement and acceptance activities.

• Capability acceptance evidence may not be available within planned timeframes.

• LAND 6504 Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) or strategy completed.

• Verification and validation requirements identified and documented.

Mandatory requirements:

- Minimum NV1 clearance with ability to obtain NV2. (NV2 Clearance preferred).

- Must be able to work from Brindabella Business Park 5 days per week, CBR location preferred.

- Relevant experience undertaking role responsibilities.

- Minimum 6 years’ experience, preferably within Defence.

- Experience in complex acquisition projects.
