Job Title: Quality Engineer I Job Description
The Quality Engineer I supports manufacturing operations by ensuring that products and processes consistently meet quality, regulatory, and business requirements. This role collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional partners to support day-to-day production, investigate quality issues, maintain compliance with the Quality System, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide Quality Engineering support for day-to-day manufacturing operations and production activities.
- Review manufacturing documentation and records to verify compliance with approved procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Support the identification, documentation, investigation, and resolution of manufacturing quality issues.
- Initiate and support Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and other quality records, including investigation and disposition activities.
- Participate in root cause investigations and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support manufacturing process changes, validations, qualifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support audit and inspection readiness and assist with internal and external audit activities as needed.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with applicable procedures, Quality System requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Perform other Quality Engineering responsibilities as assigned to meet operational and quality objectives.
Essential Skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, or another related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.
- 02 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or another related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound decisions using available data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-based manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Foundational knowledge of quality engineering principles in a manufacturing context.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, academic, or professional experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Experience or coursework related to Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with nonconforming material processes and quality documentation.
- Exposure to root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action methodologies.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta with typical hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position operates in a team-based manufacturing environment within a heart failure-focused department, where collaboration with engineering and operations teams is central to daily work. The role involves working in a regulated setting that follows established quality systems and procedures, with a strong emphasis on compliance, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
