Senior Technical Program Manager, ADC Security Engineering

AWS Region Services delivers security and infrastructure capabilities into isolated AWS regions that support highly sensitive customer workloads. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive delivery of a portfolio of regional security service programs, each involving coordination across commercial AWS service teams, regional operations, compliance organizations, and infrastructure partners.

You will own 4-6 concurrent programs at any given time, each with distinct commercial partners, compliance gates, and delivery timelines. This role requires someone who can hold multiple complex programs in their head, drive accountability across teams that don't report to you, and communicate crisp status to senior leadership weekly.

The candidate selected must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI with polygraph level. Upon start, the selected candidate will be sponsored for a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end program execution for a portfolio of security service delivery programs into isolated AWS regions
Drive cross-organizational coordination with commercial service teams who build the capabilities your programs deliver into isolated regions
Manage compliance and accreditation gates that are prerequisites for service launches in regulated environments
Build and maintain program schedules with clear critical paths, dependency tracking, and escalation triggers
Produce weekly status reporting for senior and executive leadership with quantified progress, blockers, and path to green
Identify and resolve cross-program dependencies and resource conflicts across the portfolio
Drive mechanisms and operational cadences that keep programs healthy: regular syncs with commercial partners, milestone tracking, risk registers

A day in the life
You own a portfolio of programs that deliver AWS security services into isolated regions. Monday you are pulling status across your portfolio and preparing a leadership summary. Tuesday you are in a working session with a commercial service team resolving a deployment blocker. Wednesday you are driving an accreditation review through a customer approval process. Thursday you are aligning with peer program managers on shared dependencies and resource conflicts. Friday you are reviewing program health metrics and setting up next week's priorities. Your internal stakeholders are engineering managers, commercial AWS security service teams, infrastructure delivery teams, and compliance organizations. Your customers are mission owners who need these security capabilities available in isolated regions on committed timelines.

About the team
Region Services bridges the gap between commercial AWS service teams and customers operating in isolated AWS regions. Our team delivers security services, manages infrastructure programs, and coordinates the compliance and accreditation work required to launch capabilities in high-security environments. We operate out of Denver, Arlington, and Herndon. We value direct communication, ownership of outcomes, and bias for action. Programs move through technical, operational, and compliance gates simultaneously, so the ability to manage ambiguity across multiple workstreams is essential.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
