About this role

Description & Requirements Bloomberg Connects is a rapidly growing, free platform that helps museums, galleries, and cultural spaces make their institutions, stories and dynamic content more engaging to audiences around the world. Launched in 2019, Connects features multimedia guides with unique content exclusive to each of our over 1,500 cultural institution partners across 33 countries. As part of Bloomberg's culture of giving back, Connects is a joint effort between Bloomberg and Bloomberg Philanthropies in support of their work to ensure better, longer lives for the greatest number of people by focusing on five key areas: the arts, education, the environment, government innovation, and public health. We believe that technology opens doors, and we created Connects as a part of our mission to make art and culture accessible to all—in-person, at-home, and anywhere. We are a team of designers, researchers, marketers, editors, engineers, and leaders working together to enhance our partner's capacity to reach audiences around the world and improve their visitor experience. Built through empathy and research, qualitative and quantitative data, and experimentation and iteration, our products seek to delight and empower. What's in it for you? The Data and Platform Tools team builds the systems behind Connects' analytics, search, speech, computer vision, and generative AI capabilities — plus the agentic core platform and tooling used by every discipline across the product organization. Demand on this team has grown past what engineering alone can direct: you'll take on product ownership of that surface area, working closely with the Data and Platform Engineering Team Lead to turn a wide, technical, and growing set of stakeholder needs into a coherent roadmap. You'll report directly to the Head of Product, Engineering and UX, and your customers are internal — engineers integrating with your platforms, business teams relying on your analytics and insights tools, and product-org colleagues across every discipline using the agentic tools you help define. We'll trust you to: ·          Own product strategy and roadmap for Data and Platform Tools — spanning analytics and insights, semantic search, TTS/STT, computer vision, content generation, and the infrastructure behind our agentic systems ·          Own product for our agentic core platform and tooling, used by every discipline across the product organization, not just engineering ·          Partner with the Data and Platform Engineering Team Lead to prioritize and sequence platform investment against real, competing stakeholder demand ·          Translate between deeply technical engineering work and the internal teams — engineering, business, and design — that depend on it, in both directions ·          Build the roadmap and prioritization process this team currently lacks, so engineers can focus on building rather than triaging requests ·          Manage a wide set of internal stakeholders — engineering, business, marketing, design, and product colleagues across every discipline — each with a different stake in the same underlying platform You'll need to have: ·          5+ years of product management experience, including platform, developer-tools, or internal-tooling product management — not purely consumer-facing product work ·          A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical disciplines, or prior equivalent practical experience We'd love to see: ·          Direct experience with search, speech (TTS/STT), computer vision, or generative AI products ·          A technical or engineering background ·          Experience taking a platform or tooling product from 0 to 1 — defining product direction where none existed, not just managing an established roadmap ·          Experience managing internal, cross-functional stakeholders as your primary customer base, rather than external end users ·          Enough technical fluency to prioritize and communicate tradeoffs in ML/AI-adjacent domains — search, speech, computer vision, generative content, or agentic systems infrastructure ·          Real, current use of AI tools in your own day-to-day work as a PM — you're defining the platform other disciplines will use to work this way, and you need to have lived it yourself first ·          Fluency using data to inform decisions and communicate impact ·          Excellent written and verbal communication — you'll routinely translate technical work for non-technical stakeholders, and vice versa Salary Range = 140,000 - 295,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level. We offer one of the most comprehensive and generous benefits plans available and offer a range of total rewards that may include merit increases, incentive compensation (exempt roles only), paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability benefits, 401(k) +match, life insurance, and various wellness programs, among others. The Company does not provide benefits directly to contingent workers/contractors and interns.
