Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description The Lab Technician tests materials before, during, and after production to measure material characteristics and confirm that products meet established specifications. This role focuses on inspecting and testing products for quality and accuracy, supporting consistent production standards and reliable product performance. Responsibilities

- Examine, measure, and test the quality of products in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Use laboratory equipment and tools to perform material tests before, during, and after production.
- Utilize a database to accurately record measurements, test results, and related quality data.
- Label and package archived product samples and marketing samples in an organized and traceable manner.
- Identify product deficiencies and promptly notify the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the laboratory and adjacent areas.
- Follow established procedures and quality standards to ensure products conform to specifications.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the company as needed to support laboratory and production operations.

Essential Skills

- High attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and reliable test results.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a production-focused environment.
- Basic mathematics skills, including unit conversion, to support testing and data recording.
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use databases and basic software for data entry and documentation.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English to document findings and communicate with team members.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prefer at least 1 year of quality testing experience in a laboratory or production environment.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, use stairs or ladders, drive an automatic forklift, climb, squat, stoop, twist, bend, grab, and grasp as part of daily duties.
- Ability to work in a non-controlled environment where conditions may vary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Previous experience in a laboratory or quality control setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with production processes and product specifications is beneficial.
- Comfort working with physical materials and operating basic material-handling equipment.
- Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate based on role and business need.

This is a Contract position based out of Fernley, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
