This Project Engineer role supports a long-term, large-scale semiconductor fabrication project in Boise, Idaho while being based in Phoenix, Arizona. The position focuses on project planning, coordination, technical support, cost control, quality assurance, and safety compliance for a multi-phase industrial construction effort expected to continue for the next several years. Responsibilities
- Support project planning, execution, and scheduling efforts throughout the full construction lifecycle.
- Coordinate activities between field crews, project stakeholders, general contractors, and subcontractors to maintain alignment and workflow.
- Monitor project progress and help ensure key milestones and deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Participate in daily coordination meetings and provide clear, timely project status updates.
- Manage and track project submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) to maintain accurate documentation and timely responses.
- Utilize BIM models and construction technology platforms, including Navisworks, to support project execution and coordination.
- Review project documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
- Assist in resolving technical and field-related issues as they arise, collaborating with project teams to implement effective solutions.
- Support project forecasting and budget management efforts by tracking expenses and helping maintain cost controls.
- Help ensure project objectives are achieved within established financial parameters and budget constraints.
- Conduct site inspections, when required, and maintain thorough project documentation.
- Verify compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and testing requirements.
- Identify potential project risks and proactively support mitigation strategies to reduce impact on schedule, cost, and quality.
- Recommend corrective actions when project requirements, standards, or specifications are not being met.
- Promote adherence to all company and site-specific safety standards across project activities.
- Ensure project work remains compliant with safety protocols and client requirements.
- Support a culture focused on safe work practices, continuous improvement, and high-quality project delivery.
Essential Skills
- 12 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or in a similar construction-related role.
- Experience supporting commercial, industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or semiconductor construction projects.
- Proficiency with BIM and Navisworks for model coordination and construction planning.
- Experience with construction management processes, including documentation, RFIs, submittals, and project coordination.
- Proficiency with Procore construction management software.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and workflows related to RFIs, submittals, and project coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with project teams and stakeholders.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and support effective resolutions.
- Ability to travel occasionally to the semiconductor fabrication project site in Boise, Idaho.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working on large-scale industrial, semiconductor, mission-critical, or data center projects.
- Knowledge of project scheduling principles and tools.
- Understanding of quality control processes and procedures in construction environments.
- Knowledge of project cost tracking and basic forecasting methods.
- Interest in long-term career growth on multi-year semiconductor expansion projects.

Work Environment
This is a salaried position based in an office setting in Phoenix, Arizona, supporting a semiconductor fabrication project in Boise, Idaho. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with standard shifts of either 6:00 AM3:00 PM or 7:00 AM4:00 PM. Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment using construction management software, BIM tools such as Navisworks, and standard office technology. Occasional travel to the Boise project site is required to support field coordination and inspections. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
