We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team.
Main responsibilities:
• Coordinate with key internal stakeholders on the BESS pipeline, priorities, technical requirements, delivery needs and procurement strategy
• Coordinate RFI/RFP processes, including commercial documentation, supplier communications, bid clarification, evaluation and negotiation support
• Perform commercial evaluations of supplier proposals, identifying assumptions, exclusions and deviations
• Support supplier negotiations on commercial and contractual terms, taking ownership of assigned topics and key action items
• Support the definition, negotiation and closure of BSA/BESS supply agreements, LTSA and related agreements, ensuring alignment with EDP standards, project requirements and applicable local conditions
• Coordinate with Legal, Engineering, Risk, Finance, Project Management and Development during contract negotiations and approvals, ensuring actions and decisions are tracked and documented
• Conduct market intelligence on BESS technologies, manufacturers, supply capacity, battery cell and raw material trends, logistics, tariffs, currencies, regulatory developments and other market drivers affecting procurement decisions
• Coordinate supplier qualification and assessment activities, including commercial, technical, operational and compliance information
• Prepare procurement reporting, benchmarking and management information on supplier performance, pricing, savings, market developments, risks and sourcing activities
• Maintain effective day-to-day relationships with BESS suppliers, supporting commercial discussions and follow-up actions

What are we looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification will be valued
• 2–3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or contracting, preferably within energy or renewable energy projects
• Proven experience managing competitive procurement processes and negotiating complex technical and commercial contracts with international suppliers
• Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain concepts and sourcing strategies
• Good understanding of utility-scale BESS solutions, including battery systems, PCS, EMS/controls, system integration, performance guarantees, warranties, delivery schedules and long-term service arrangements
• Strong contractual and commercial skills, with the ability to understand, negotiate and close complex supply and service agreements
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge proposals and identify commercial risks and opportunities
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to drive outcomes with suppliers and internal stakeholders in complex, time-critical environments
• Advanced negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations and achieve commercially favourable outcomes in high-value contracts
• Proactive, collaborative, autonomous and highly organised, with the ability to anticipate project and procurement needs and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
