Placement Student – Test Engineering

We are looking for an enthusiastic Test Engineering Placement Student to join our team specialising in Engineering for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington, United Kingdom . Within this role you'll conduct testing on a variety of existing and future products to make sure we deliver on our commitments to our customers.

During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organisation operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry.

The requirements are to be onsite for 5 days per week so you will need to be able to travel or relocate to the location on your own behalf.

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence in Summer 2027.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

- We are looking for a range of applicants studying towards a Bachelors or Masters degree from across Engineering and STEM related subjects.
- Good knowledge of MS office (Excel and Word).
- Methodical and data-based approach to problem solving, with strong team working and communication skills.
- Knowledge of diesel engine architecture and/or alternative powertrain components an advantage but not essential - training will be provided.
