Position Overview
We are seeking a Furniture Delivery & Installation Specialist to join our traveling installation team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for delivering, installing, and setting up high-end furniture and décor across the country.
This position requires approximately 50% travel, including driving long distances across state lines and working on active installation sites. When not traveling, you will support our Dallas warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate takes exceptional pride in their work, handles high-end furnishings with extreme care, possesses strong client-facing professionalism, and enjoys being on the road as part of a collaborative team executing nationwide projects.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Transportation
Safely operate company vehicles, including Sprinter vans and rental trucks (e.g., U-Haul).
Transport furniture, artwork, and accessories to project sites nationwide.
Load, secure, and protect all items properly to prevent damage during transit.
Plan efficient travel routes and manage scheduled delivery timelines.
Furniture Installation & On-Site Execution
Execute hands-on furniture placement, assembly, and final installation alongside design and install teams.
Handle high-end, fragile furniture, art, and decorative accessories with extreme care.
Represent the company with strong soft skills, adaptability, and professionalism in client-facing environments, including active and occupied senior living communities.
Remain flexible and composed when project timelines or on-site conditions shift.
Warehouse Support (When Not Traveling)
Assist with receiving, tagging, staging, pulling, and organizing inventory.
Support shipping and staging processes using Bills of Lading (BOLs).
Maintain overall warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization.
Ensure all items are accounted for, damage-free, clean, and installation-ready.
Equipment & Safety
Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (certification training provided if needed).
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols to protect team members, products, and equipment.
Assist in loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must-Haves
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean record; comfortable driving long distances across multiple states (CDL is not required).
Physical Capability: Ability to lift, push, pull, and move items up to 75 lbs regularly in warehouse and job site environments.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to ~50% of the time, including overnight multi-state travel.
Client & Team Interaction: Outstanding soft skills, polish, and professional demeanour when interacting with design teams, facility directors, and community residents.
Adaptability: High degree of flexibility to handle fluid, fast-moving project timelines on active installation sites.
Education & Background: High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass a comprehensive background check (required due to working in senior living facilities).
Preferred / Nice-to-Haves
Previous experience in commercial or residential furniture installation, high-end moving, or staging.
Forklift operator experience or certification.
